Katrina Wert is the executive director of workforce and community partnerships at Community College of Denver (CCD) and directs CCD’s Center for Workforce Initiatives (CWI), a hub for multiple industry-focused community workforce partnerships that connect job seekers, industry partners and community organizations. CWI serves as the backbone for WORKNOW, a construction workforce coalition of more than 20 organizations that connects local workers to regional public and private infrastructure projects.
Wert has nearly 20 years of experience in developing and administering programs in construction workforce development, adult education, career and technical education and post-secondary access and worked previously in that capacity for community-based organizations, Emily Griffith Technical College and Denver’s Office of Economic Development. She serves on the board of the HCC Contractor Academy as well as the executive committee of the Metro Denver Construction Sector partnership.
Wert lives with her family in Denver and is dedicated to increasing economic opportunity and resource connections for working families across the metro area.
